The Top Games to Play in November 2026
GTA VI headlines a thin November 2026, with Ocarina of Time, World of Warcraft: Forever, Warhammer Survivors, and Switch 2 ports behind it.
After two delays and plenty of speculation about other publishers steering clear of its release window, Grand Theft Auto VI is finally almost here, arriving November 19 for PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S. Not surprisingly, that leaves November without a ton to look forward to, at least compared to the October and September we just had, and a good chunk of what’s here is a port, a remaster, or a remake. The month isn’t entirely empty, though, with Nintendo’s full remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, World of Warcraft’s third version of itself, a $7.99 Warhammer spin on Vampire Survivors, and Switch 2 versions of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Stellar Blade, and Pikmin 4. As always, the full schedule is on our upcoming video game releases page.
As for what we’ll be playing, Grand Theft Auto VI is the obvious one, even though, as I admitted when the launch trailer arrived, we’ve never been big fans of the series and are mostly going in to see whether this one wins us over. Warhammer Survivors was my most anticipated title out of Warhammer Skulls 2026, and it’s $7.99 with a day one Game Pass release. If nothing on this list interests you, September left plenty of great games to catch up on, including Marvel’s Wolverine, which was our most anticipated game of 2026, along with Control Resonant and Orbitals, and October added Gears of War: E-Day, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, and Phantom Blade Zero on top of that.
Here are our picks for the top games to play in November 2026.
Gravhounds

Octopus Panic is a self-funded studio led by Josh Holmes, the former creative director on Halo 4, with a team pulled from DICE and 343 Industries, and its first game, Gravhounds, sends bio-engineered dogs to hostile alien planets to gather materials while alien swarms grow more aggressive the longer you stay. Up to four players build out turrets, generators, fabricators, and pipeline networks, fling enemies and objects around with a Grav Beam, and then extract before the swarm gets out of hand. Upgrades unlocked during each shift stack to change how a run plays out, and the whole thing is built around physics-driven chaos. It launches through Game Preview and is available on Game Pass from day one.
Gravhounds enters Game Preview on November 2, 2026 for XBOX Series X|S and PC, and is available day one on Game Pass.
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered

Originally released for GameCube in 2002 and XBOX in 2003, Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee is getting a full Unreal Engine 5 rebuild from Pipeworks, with Atari publishing, and the remaster keeps the mechanics 99 percent faithful to the original, according to the studio. The roster has 12 kaiju, including the Showa-era Mechagodzilla, and eight locations with day and night variations covering Tokyo, San Francisco, Monster Island, and the Mothership. Online multiplayer with matchmaking is new, local co-op returns, and there are additional single-player campaigns for each kaiju, along with a streamlined currency-based unlock system and modern haptic support. It’s $29.99 digitally on every platform, with physical versions at $29.99 on PlayStation 5 and $39.99 on Switch 2 through Atari.
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered releases on November 3, 2026 for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC.
World of Warcraft: Forever

World of Warcraft: Forever is a third version of the MMO that runs alongside Modern and Classic, which Blizzard revealed at BlizzCon in September, and it’s set during the game’s first year without being a straight re-release of Vanilla. It adds three new zones, more than 1,000 quests, nine dungeons, two raids, and a new playable race called the Skyborne, with the idea that players can explore parts of Azeroth the original era never showed. The raids begin opening on December 9 rather than at launch. An existing subscription or game time gets you into World of Warcraft: Forever at launch, but playing as the new Skyborne race and accessing its starting experience require the $29.99 Skyborne Heroic Pack or a higher edition. The $59.99 Skyborne Epic Pack and $79.99 Warcraft Forever Collection add further bonuses, including early name reservation and cosmetics, while the Collection also bundles Warcraft III: Reforged with its new Forsaken Kingdom campaign.
World of Warcraft: Forever releases on November 4, 2026 for PC and Mac.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Nintendo’s full remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time goes well beyond a visual overhaul, with every texture rebuilt, fully voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue for the characters Link meets, and a symphonic orchestral score. The controls get dedicated jump and run buttons and a right stick camera, the day and night cycle now keeps running inside towns, and a Threads of Time screen tracks story progress and your next objective. A trailer earlier this month introduced the Hall of Fallen Foes, a museum-style area where every defeated monster gets a statue you can examine, and boss statues let you refight that boss on a timer. You can also hum a melody Link has learned into the Switch 2 microphone and the in-game ocarina plays along, and first print physical copies include textured foil cover art.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time releases on November 5, 2026 for Switch 2.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Encore Edition

Five years after its 2021 release, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is heading to Switch 2 as the Encore Edition, with Eidos-Montréal handling the port internally. It includes the full game and all previously released digital content, plus five new ’80s glam rock outfits for Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot that are exclusive to this version. The Switch 2 version adds mouse controls for aiming and menus, gyro support for steering the Milano and for zero-gravity sequences, and optimization across TV, tabletop, and handheld modes. We really enjoyed Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and still think it deserves far more attention than it got the first time around, and the Encore Edition is priced at $39.99.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Encore Edition releases on November 5, 2026 for Switch 2.
Stellar Blade: Complete Edition (Switch 2)

Shift Up’s Stellar Blade reaches its third platform after launching on PlayStation 5 in 2024 and PC in 2025, with the Switch 2 version arriving on a physical cartridge and adding Joy-Con 2 motion controls for non-combat activities. Four free Bayonetta-inspired outfits for Eve are also coming to Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and PC on November 5. In my review, I called it a strong entry for Shift Up’s first AAA game and said I hoped it would turn into a franchise, which is exactly what’s happening now that Stellar Blade: Blood Rain is on the way. The Switch 2 version gives Nintendo players their first chance to take Eve’s adventure on the go.
Stellar Blade: Complete Edition releases on November 5, 2026 for Switch 2.
Warhammer Survivors

Auroch Digital, the team behind Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, is making Warhammer Survivors in partnership with poncle, and it runs on the same engine as Vampire Survivors. There are over 40 playable champions pulled from both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar, including Boltgun’s Malum Caedo, more than 75 weapons, stages across the 41st Millennium and the Mortal Realms, and bosses like the Norn Emissary with Extremis variants for veterans. Warhammer Survivors costs $7.99 and is available day one on Game Pass, with a 10 percent preorder and launch discount on select platforms. The current Steam demo has two more champions than the version shown at Warhammer Skulls 2026.
Warhammer Survivors releases on November 10, 2026 for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, Android, iOS, and PC, and is available day one on Game Pass.
Ashes of the Singularity II

A decade after the original, Oxide Games and Stardock are following up Ashes of the Singularity with a sequel that adds a playable human faction, the United Earth Forces, alongside the returning AI Substrate and Post-Human Coalition. In Ashes of Singularity II, the campaign is set in 2031 as humanity tries to retake its territories across the solar system, and the battles put thousands of units on continent-sized maps with a Strategic Zoom that moves between an orbital view and the front line. Terrain like frozen lakes and lava chasms changes with persistent damage, skirmish, competitive, and co-op multiplayer are all in, and bases are managed by region rather than building by building to cut down on micromanagement. It’s $39.99 for the standard edition and $69.99 for the premium edition, which adds the first three DLC packs and the soundtrack, with 20 percent off both through November 17.
Ashes of the Singularity II releases on November 10, 2026 for PC.
Metaphor: ReFantazio (Switch 2)

Metaphor: ReFantazio arrives on Switch 2 with a limited-time Steelbook Edition at launch and a game-key card inside the packaged version, after Atlus confirmed the port during June’s Nintendo Direct. In my review, I called it the evolution of Persona and Shin Megami Tensei I’d been waiting for, with an Archetype class system I found more engaging than Persona’s, and after nearly 90 hours it was one of the most satisfying gaming experiences I’ve had in years. The Switch 2 version brings over the 2024 release as it was, and if you missed it the first time, this is the first chance to play it on a Nintendo platform.
Metaphor: ReFantazio releases on November 12, 2026 for Switch 2.
Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy

Pikmin 4 gets the Switch 2 Edition treatment with voice commands for Oatchi through the console’s microphone and a new mode called Dandori Academy, which Nintendo detailed at September’s Direct. Dandori Academy is about collecting treasure as quickly as possible across its stages, with three difficulty levels, performance medals, online leaderboards, and weekend exams that run every Friday through Sunday, and Nintendo plans to release 72 stages over time rather than all at once. It’s available as a $69.99 physical release or a $9.99 digital upgrade pack for anyone who owns the Switch version. As I said in my review back in 2023, Pikmin 4 was a good entry point for a series newcomer like me and one of the best-looking games on the original Switch, and I predicted a Switch 2 Edition when the free Decor Pikmin update was announced last year.
Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy releases on November 12, 2026 for Switch 2.
Grand Theft Auto VI

Grand Theft Auto VI arrives on November 19 after Rockstar pushed it from May to November, and preorders have been open since June 25 at $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. The physical version ships without a disc, and the launch trailer earlier this month arrived with a new single from Justice, who composed the game’s original score. It sits sixth on our most anticipated games of 2026, up from 12th the year before, despite our lukewarm history with the series.
Grand Theft Auto VI releases on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S.
