Warhammer Skulls 2026 marked the 10th anniversary of the annual Warhammer video games showcase, and there’s a lot to cover. Games Workshop packed the event with new game reveals, release dates, DLCs, and collaborations spanning Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, and Total War: Warhammer. Here’s a rundown of everything announced.

Kicking things off is Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Deathwatch, a sequel to Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters. Players take on the role of Interrogator Bastian Rath leading an Inquisitorial team against seven enemy xenos factions in turn-based battles, with nine classes ranging from Inquisition agents to Space Marines. The game is coming to PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Deathmaster was also revealed. It’s a 2D stealth/action platformer that puts players in the role of a Skaven assassin climbing the ranks. It’s coming to PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC in 2027.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus | Image: Bulwark Studios

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II launched today on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC. The sequel features the Tech-Priests of Mars facing off against the Necrons, and players can also take on a Necron narrative campaign for the first time. The Leagues of Votann are also involved. An expanded Omnissiah Edition adds a digital artbook, the original soundtrack, and a legacy soundtrack DLC with 10 new tracks from composer Guillaume David.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV got a release date of September 17, returning players to the war-torn planet of Kronus from Dark Crusade. The campaign features the Blood Ravens, Dark Angels, Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons, and Orks. Preorders for the Standard and Commander Editions are now live, with the Commander Edition including the digital soundtrack, all Year One paid DLC, and three days of early access starting September 14. Year One free updates include the map-conquering Crusade mode, two new Commanders for Last Stand and Crusade modes, four Map Packs, and a full Mission Editor. Paid DLC includes a prologue campaign starring a Blood Ravens commander on Aurelia, followed by the Aftermath expansion adding a new faction.

Warhammer 40,000 is also coming to Helldivers 2 in a new Legendary Warbond, confirmed by PlayStation and Arrowhead Game Studios for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and Steam. Contents will be revealed later this year.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide | Image: Fatshark

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is getting a new Skitarii class on June 23 as paid DLC, alongside a Deluxe Edition with extra cosmetics. June 23 also brings a new Expedition area in the badlands of Atoma and two new enemy types in the Traitor Vanguard and Cultist Vanguard.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 shadow dropped its Purgation Update today. The free update adds a new co-op Operations mission on Kadaku, a new rapid-fire bolt carbine sidearm for the Assault and Bulwark classes, three new Heroic weapons, six new armor pieces, and a Practice Arena. Siege mode is also getting new rewards, modifiers, and Boss-level enemies. Season Pass 2 owners get access to the Iron Hands Chapter Pack DLC, which includes a Champion skin for the new Techmarine class, more than 20 cosmetics, and four Iron Hands Successor Chapter color packs. A free trial covering the opening missions and three Operations is live through Tuesday on PlayStation 5 and Steam.

Total War: Warhammer III got a new Bhashiva Character Pack DLC today, introducing the Tiger Warriors of Cathay led by new Legendary Lord Bhashiva. It launches alongside Patch 8.0 and adds a new Lord, Hero, and three units. The base game is Free to Try on Steam this weekend and is also at its best-ever discount of 85% off. The teaser also confirmed that Total War: Warhammer 40,000 will feature the planet Armageddon.

Warhammer Survivors | Image: Auroch Digital

Warhammer Survivors, what I’m probably most excited about, dropped a Steam demo today ahead of launch on PC, GOG, XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Switch, Switch 2, and mobile.

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 also launched a playable demo today, with Rahul Kohli reprising Malum Caedo and Alanah Pearce voicing Battle Sister Nyra Verath. The demo covers two levels and introduces Khorne Berzerker enemies. The game is coming to PC, XBOX Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 later this year. XBOX Design Lab controllers themed after both main characters are also available. Separately, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Boom, a mobile adaptation of the original game from Nitro Games, was announced for Android and iOS in 2026.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is getting its third DLC, The Infinite Museion, on June 11. The story expansion adds a Tech-Priest Manipulus companion and centers on Trazyn the Infinite’s interest in the Koronus Expanse. It’s available separately or as part of Season Pass 2. Rogue Trader is also free to try via XBOX Free Play Days this weekend.

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy | Image: Owlcat Games

Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks released on PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S today with full cross-play. A physical PlayStation 5 edition launches at participating retailers on June 16.

The RUST Warhammer 40,000 Pack, featuring Death Korps of Krieg cosmetics, is now available on XBOX Series X|S and PlayStation 5 after its earlier PC release.

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector | Image: Slitherine
