Capcom opened its Tokyo Game Show week with the Capcom Spotlight TGS 2026 broadcast today, the one it put on the calendar at the end of August, and it covered a Mega Man: Dual Override deep dive, a free Mega Man crossover for Pragmata, a Teostra reveal for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, new Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen character creation options, Street Fighter 6’s next outfit, and a round of Resident Evil anniversary events. Mega Man: Dual Override
Director Shinya Ikuta and producer Hiroyuki Minamitani opened the show with a deep dive on Mega Man: Dual Override, and the headline is Proto Man as the game’s second playable character. The pair also walked through the Custom Chip system alongside the Override system Capcom first showed in August, both of which are built to give players more choice and strategy in how they take on stages. Mega Man: Dual Override launches in Spring 2027 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, XBOX One, XBOX Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, after Capcom set it for 2027 at The Game Awards last December.
Pragmata
Mega Man is also heading to Pragmata through a free Mega Man Pack that goes live later today, bundling two sets of Mega Man and Roll-themed outfits for Hugh and Diana along with additional gestures and background music. Capcom is pairing the DLC with Pragmata’s first-ever sale, which knocks 20 percent off the game at $47.99 for a limited time on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam. In my review, I said Diana in particular is a charming character and that the banter between her and Hugh had me smiling more than I expected going in. The game topped two million units in its first 16 days back in May.
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance
The show included an extended cut of the latest Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance trailer, and it confirmed that Teostra is returning in the expansion. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Takuro Hiraoka also broke down the Boost Bracer again and ran through a set of quality-of-life changes arriving with Ascendance, including faster weapon swapping without needing the Seikret and the ability to change equipment outside the tent using the Item Box. Those refinements will also come to the base game. Ascendance launches in 2027 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam, while Monster Hunter Wilds itself hits Switch 2 on December 4, 2026, with physical preorders open now and digital preorders starting October 19.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen
A new Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen trailer showed off the story and enemies waiting in Norgan, and Capcom has updated the Dragon’s Dogma 2: Character Creation & Storage tool with the expansion’s new customization options on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Steam, plus a Switch 2 version that’s now available. The new options can’t be used in the main game until Dark Arisen launches, but characters made now will be ready to go.
Capcom is also adding Official Pawns created by partners around the world to help with the 12 Lost Rites Dungeon Challenges, with more to be added later. Dark Arisen releases October 9 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam at $49.99 as a bundle with the base game, or $29.99 as standalone DLC on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC, with the Norgan Fashion Set Northern Attire as the preorder bonus. Those details are unchanged from June’s Spotlight, and the base game already got its free update ahead of the expansion.
Street Fighter 6
Arjun arrives October 13 as the second Year 4 character, and Capcom used the show to reveal C. Viper’s Outfit 4, which releases the same day and continues the swimsuit series. The Arjun Arrives! Fighting Pass is available now, and anyone at Tokyo Game Show can play Arjun early at the Capcom booth. Capcom also expanded on the tie-in with the Street Fighter movie, with special New Challenger images featuring the film’s characters available to redeem ahead of its October 16 worldwide release. Beyond that, Tifa is still slated for early 2027 and Bosch for Spring 2027.
On the competitive side, Street Fighter League 2026 is about to start across three regions, with 12 teams in two divisions in Japan, an October start for the Americas ahead of playoffs at Anime Pasadena on November 8, and the top four EMEA teams heading to London MCM Comic Con on October 24 for their regional playoffs. Capcom Pro Tour 2026 is already underway with preliminary tournaments, and World Warrior registration is open for anyone chasing a spot in Capcom Cup 13.
Resident Evil 30th Anniversary
Tickets are now on sale for The World of Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Exhibit in Tokyo, which we covered in June when Capcom set it for Shibuya Beam from October 30 through December 24. New today is Resident Evil Requiem: The Dive, a horror maze at Universal Studios Japan set in Requiem’s Wrenwood Hotel, and tickets are also available for the Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Concerts across Europe and North America, which trace the series’ history with curated tracks and video presentations.
Capcom Town
To mark the first anniversary of Capcom Town’s renewal, 23 retro games including Street Fighter II: The World Warrior are playable on the Capcom Town website starting today, on mobile or PC, and they’re only up until November 1. The Capcom Town Store also has Monster Hunter Wilds, Resident Evil Requiem, and Pragmata on sale through September 21, with an additional up to 10 percent off when bundling five eligible titles, and anyone who buys Onimusha: Way of the Sword or preorders Dark Arisen there gets an exclusive wallpaper.
