Square Enix isn’t the only one putting Tifa Lockhart front and center this week. During Summer Game Fest, Capcom revealed the Year 4 roster for Street Fighter 6, and leading it is Tifa as a guest fighter pulled straight from the Final Fantasy VII Remake Series, the same series whose finale, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Square Enix unveiled at the very same show.
Year 4 adds four DLC fighters, continuing the four-per-year cadence that ran through Year 3, with Tifa joined by new fighters Yasmine and Arjun and Bosch, the second protagonist of the game’s World Tour mode. Capcom is running the season under the banner of Unbridled Strength.
Tifa, due in early 2027, is described in Capcom’s announcement as a Zangan-ryu martial artist and member of the Avalanche resistance group who, during her journey with her companions, is unexpectedly transported to another world. She fights at close range, mixing martial arts with unique powers the studio calls Abilities. Her addition continues the crossover guests Capcom has folded into the roster since Terry Bogard arrived in Year 2 as the franchise’s first-ever guest character.
The three other additions fill out the rest of the year. Yasmine, a high schooler from the Philippines searching for her long-lost brother, arrives first and is scheduled for August 3, fighting with a crescent-shaped karambit knife at high speed. Arjun, a former police officer from India on the run after being accused of killing a colleague, follows in autumn 2026 with what Capcom calls Bare-knuckle Yoga, a style built around yogic breathing. Bosch, who left his home nation of Nayshall and trained under Luke in Metro City, closes out the year in spring 2027.
Both the Year 4 Character Pass and Ultimate Pass are available now on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC, with preorders open on Switch 2. The Character Pass covers all four fighters plus Outfit 1 Colors 3-10 for each and 3,000 Drive Tickets, while the Ultimate Pass adds each character’s Outfit 2 and Outfit 3 (each with Colors 1-10) and another 2,800 Drive Tickets. Capcom is also running limited-time discounts, with Street Fighter 6 at 50 percent off and the Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition at 35 percent off, and we reviewed the base game at launch.
