Classic side-scrolling Mega Man is finally returning when Mega Man: Dual Override launches sometime in 2027 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC. As the 12th mainline installment in the classic Mega Man series, Mega Man: Dual Override arrives just in time for the 40th anniversary of the Mega Man franchise. Since the Blue Bomber’s debut in 1987, the franchise has sold over 43 million units worldwide. This month, Capcom is hosting a special boss design contest for the upcoming game, where fans will have the chance to help Dr. Wily create a new Robot Master to appear in the game.

To celebrate the announcement of Mega Man: Dual Override, Mega Man 11 is getting a special discount on digital storefronts. For a limited time, players can pick it up for under $5 at the PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, Xbox Store, and Steam.
