Capcom just wrapped its latest Capcom Spotlight today, the showcase we previewed earlier this week, and it ran through new content for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, a release date for the Dragon’s Dogma 2 expansion, a new Onimusha boss, and a bit of Resident Evil 30th anniversary news. The full presentation is up on Capcom’s YouTube channel, but here is everything that came out of it.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection

Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto kicked off the show with the Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Additional Side Story: Rudy DLC, which digs into the origins of Rudy, the Royal Felyne, and the ancestors who came before him. In the side story, Rudy ends up face to face with Navirou, the legendary Felyne who once saved the world in the original Monster Hunter Stories, and players will take on the Elder Dragon Nergigante along the way. Unfortunately, Nergigante can’t become a monstie for your party. The DLC is out now on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC for $9.99, and anyone with the Deluxe or Premium Deluxe Edition already has it included.

Launching alongside the Rudy DLC is a free update that adds Royal Monsters to the field. Clearing the Final Battle on Hard with a completed save unlocks Royal Monster versions of almost every creature in the game, including Invasive Monsters and Calamitous Elder Dragons, for players after a tougher endgame. In my review, I called Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection a really good JRPG that was easy to praise as a longtime Monster Hunter fan, even if a few of the core mechanics in its loop never clicked for me across roughly 70 hours, with the combat, the art, and the quality-of-life polish doing a lot to keep me coming back.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen

Director Kento Kinoshita walked through Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the expansion that sends the Arisen into the long-abandoned northern region of Norgan. At the center of it is a Relic Expedition Cycle, where you uncover relics, appraise them to unlock new weapons and skills, and use those tools to push deeper into the secrets of the Fallen Dragon and its pursuer, Eir. The expansion also includes 12 challenge dungeons along with new hair and tattoo options for your Arisen and main Pawn.

Dark Arisen launches October 9, 2026 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam at $49.99, a bundle that pairs the base game with the expansion and marks the first time Dragon’s Dogma 2 has come to Switch 2. Existing owners on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC can grab the expansion on its own for $29.99 instead. Preordering nets the Norgan Fashion Set Northern Attire, accessible from in-game storage at launch, and anyone who preorders the bundle on those three platforms gets immediate access to the base game ahead of the expansion.

Beyond the expansion, the base game has another update due in late August that improves performance across all platforms, adds more save slots, adjusts the Dragonsplague condition, and bumps weapon skill slots from four to six. We covered Dark Arisen back when Capcom first lined it up at the June Nintendo Direct, and the first public hands-on is now set for Gamescom 2026.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Director Satoru Nihei brought Onimusha: Way of the Sword to the show with a new boss reveal, a fast, winged Genma named Dohatsu-ten that crosses blades with protagonist Miyamoto Musashi. The swordplay action game launches September 25, 2026 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. Preorders are live with a Sealed Curse sword skin and a Lion Dog charm, and the demo is out now on the PlayStation Store, XBOX Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

Resident Evil Turns 30

The show also touched on Resident Evil, which marks its 30th anniversary this year off the back of the Resident Evil Veronica reveal and the launch of Resident Evil Requiem. To celebrate, Capcom is running The World of Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Exhibit at Shibuya Beam in Tokyo from October 30 through December 24, with tickets going on sale in early July.

The series is also taking its Resident Evil 30th Anniversary Concerts, Symphony of Legacy, on a world tour starting this August, after kicking off in Japan earlier this year. Tickets for those are available now.

With the Rudy DLC out today, an Onimusha demo live, and dates locked for both Dark Arisen and Onimusha, most of what Capcom showed is already playable or sitting on the calendar.
