For anyone who wrapped up Resident Evil Requiem and was hoping for more Leon, Capcom just delivered. Leon Must Die Forever, a free post-game minigame mode, is available now across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. Capcom is calling Requiem the fastest-selling Resident Evil game in franchise history in today’s announcement, which tracks with its confirmed five million units sold in early March.

The mode unlocks after players finish the main story and leans hard into the combat side of Requiem rather than the survival horror. Players fight through areas they’ve already visited and take on the final boss again, this time with stronger enemy variants, five increasingly difficult ranks, and a race against the clock. The big mechanical wrinkle is the enhancement gauge, which fills as you defeat enemies and unlocks Leon’s “enhancer abilities” exclusive to this mode. Capcom says the order and progression of areas, along with which enhancer options are available, varies between runs to keep replays from feeling identical.

Alongside Leon Must Die Forever, the patch rolls out a handful of smaller updates. Capcom listed bug fixes across all platforms without specifics, while PC players are getting expanded DualSense wireless controller support that now covers adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and the motion sensor. PC players who’ve been using a DualSense up to this point have effectively been getting a basic Bluetooth experience, so the expanded support is nice. There’s also a Leon Must Die Forever merch line on Amazon for anyone who wants to commit to the bit, with t-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies on offer.

The other notable confirmation in today’s update is the amiibo release date. We knew from the October 2025 Road to Requiem broadcast that Grace and Leon amiibo figures were coming in summer 2026, and Capcom has now locked them in for July 30, 2026. They’ll be the first-ever Resident Evil amiibo. Resident Evil Requiem continues to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, and based on the post-launch cadence so far, more updates are likely on the way before the year is over.
