XBOX Game Pass May 2026 Wave 2 Lineup

Looks like XBOX is closing out May with arguably the best wave of the year so far. The May 2026 Wave 2 lineup is anchored by Forza Horizon 6, which finally takes the open world racing series to Japan after years of fan requests. Premium Edition owners have already been driving since May 15 through Early Access, and the global launch arrives today on XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. As a lifelong JDM enthusiast, this is the one I’ve been waiting on all year, and the reviews so far have largely backed up the hype.

Forza Horizon 6 isn’t the only heavy hitter in this wave, though. May 20 is the busiest day of the lineup, with five titles arriving at once. Dead Static Drive lands on Cloud, Console, and PC for XBOX Game Pass Ultimate, XBOX Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers, billing itself as Grand Theft Cthulhu with an indie survival-horror road trip through a nightmarish 1980s Americana. Joining it on the same day are My Friend Peppa Pig for younger subscribers, Pigeon Simulator (which sees you joining the Paranormal Examination and Kontainment unit to deal with cryptid threats), Remnant II, and Winter Burrow, a cozy woodland survival game where you play as a mouse rebuilding your childhood burrow. Remnant II is the one worth flagging for anyone who hasn’t tried it yet. We called it a strong entry in the soulslike genre back in our review, and grabbing two friends for co-op is genuinely one of the best ways to experience it.

The next day one release is Luna Abyss on May 21, available on Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC for XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. From publisher Kwalee, it’s a narrative-driven first-person action-adventure with fluid platforming and bullet-hell combat, set deep beneath the surface of a derelict megastructure on the mimic moon Luna. Escape Simulator follows on May 26 for Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC, available to all three tiers and bringing its first-person puzzle rooms with online co-op and a massive library of community-made content.

Two more day one releases land on May 27. Echo Generation 2 is a sci-fi deckbuilding RPG odyssey on Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC, available to XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. Joining it is The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition, the ultimate version of Obsidian Entertainment’s award-winning sci-fi RPG that includes all the expansions, available across all three tiers and a solid way to catch up on the original before the sequel sinks its teeth in further.

May 28 wraps up with another pair of day one releases. Crashout Crew arrives on Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, Handheld, and PC for XBOX Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, a chaotic four-player co-op forklift game from Aggro Crab where teamwork is key and disaster is inevitable. Kabuto Park lands the same day on Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC for all three tiers, a short and cute bug collection game that has you playing as Hana, a little girl on summer vacation trying to become the Summer Beetle Battles champion.

To kick off the next month, June 2 closes out the wave with two notable titles. Final Fantasy VI finally makes its XBOX Game Pass debut on Cloud, XBOX Series X|S, and PC, available to XBOX Game Pass Ultimate, XBOX Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers. The Pixel Remaster version of the 1994 classic landing on the service completes the Pixel Remaster collection, which started with the original Final Fantasy in January 2026. Jurassic World Evolution 3 also joins on June 2, the next entry in Frontier’s award-winning park-building series, also available across all three tiers.

The following games are leaving the XBOX Game Pass library on May 31, 2026. XBOX Game Pass subscribers can save 20 percent on these titles before they leave the service.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is the loss worth pointing out here.
