It’s a new year, and Xbox Game Pass is kicking things off by revealing the first wave of titles heading to the service in January 2026. Starting today, January 6, two titles are available: Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition. Brews & Bastards is a twin-stick shooter featuring inebriated heroes that drink and destroy their way through hordes of drunken demons while searching for the stolen Brew Stone. The game is available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers.

Meanwhile, Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition heads to Cloud, Handheld, PC, and Xbox Series X|S for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass members. This is the original game of the trilogy, but enhanced in 4K and 60fps. If you’ve missed Little Nightmares, it’s a game about Six, a lone child trapped in The Maw. It’s all about sneaking, hiding, and surviving in a world where childhood fears come to life.

Tomorrow, January 7, four games join the Game Pass Premium lineup, adding more value to the tier that costs $14.99 per month in the U.S. The first title is Atomfall on Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC, a survival-action game inspired by real-life events. The game takes place five years after the Windscale nuclear disaster in Northern England, and it has players exploring the fictional quarantine zone that’s filled with interesting characters, mysticism, cults, and even rogue government agencies.

The next title joining the Game Pass Premium library is Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, available on Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld, and PC. A spinoff of Lost in Random, The Eternal Die mixes real-time action with tactical combat and risk-reward dice mechanics. While it does have Lost in Random in its title, The Eternal Die is a standalone story, so players can jump straight into it without playing the original game.

One of 2025’s most popular titles, Rematch, hits Game Pass Premium on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. It’s a third-person, team-based football (soccer, for Americans) game that’s designed for 5v5 online play. Players control one athlete on the field, and what makes Rematch unique is that there are no offsides, no fouls, and no downtime. Soccer fans should definitely check it out.

The final game joining Game Pass Premium on January 7 is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Enhanced for a new generation, the Master Crafted Edition adds quality-of-life and graphical improvements to the classic Space Marine title, as players set off to crush Ork forces in this third-person shooter.

On January 8, the original Final Fantasy heads to Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass subscribers. This is the Pixel Remaster version of Final Fantasy featuring remodeled 2D assets while retaining that retro charm. See where it all began for the franchise, and take on the challenge of finishing the game with a party of just white mages.

If you’ve been curious about Star Wars Outlaws but have held off on picking it up, you’ll be happy to hear it’s heading to Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S on January 13 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. I still find it weird that Ubisoft is claiming it’s the first-ever open-world Star Wars game when Star Wars Galaxies existed, but marketing is marketing. Star Wars Outlaws tells the story of scoundrel Kay Vess and her companion Nix as they set off on an adventure dealing with the galaxy’s crime syndicates. I was really looking forward to Star Wars Outlaws, especially since it’s a game that isn’t focused on Jedi and lightsabers. Unfortunately, it was such a buggy mess at launch that I just found it to be a disappointing experience in my review. The team has made a lot of improvements since, and it’s definitely worth a playthrough if you’re a Star Wars fan while it’s on Game Pass.

For something entirely different, My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery joins Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass on January 15 for Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC. Play as Sunny, Hitch, Izzy, Pipp, Zipp, or Misty in solo or co-op in this mystery adventure to stop the unstable magic that’s sending Zephyr Heights out of control.

Resident Evil Village | Image: Capcom

With Resident Evil Requiem set to launch on February 27, 2026, there’s no better time to play Resident Evil Village than January 20, when it joins the Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass libraries on Cloud, Console, and PC. It’s the eighth main entry in the series, set years after Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and stars Ethan Winters as he travels through a haunting European village.

The final addition to Game Pass in the first wave of January 2026 is MIO: Memories in Orbit. As a day one release, it’ll only be available to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on Cloud, Handheld, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. MIO: Memories in Orbit is a handcrafted metroidvania set in a decaying world that has been reclaimed by nature and robots. Players embark on the adventure as Mio, a nimble android, exploring labyrinthine environments while fending off rogue machines in this atmospheric adventure game.

With the announcement of the new titles heading to Game Pass, we also have the list of what’s leaving on January 15:

  • Flintlock The Siege of Dawn (Cloud, Handheld, PC, and Xbox Series X|S)
  • Neon White (Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC)
  • Road 96 (Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC)
  • The Ascent (Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC)
  • The Grinch Christmas Adventures (Cloud, Console, Handheld, and PC)
