PlayStation Plus Game Catalog October 2026 Lineup
PlayStation Plus adds Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West, and day one Mycopunk in October, plus Dino Crisis 2 for Premium.
Last October’s Game Catalog lineup was built around the Silent Hill 2 remake, while this year’s headliners are Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West, and Mycopunk, which arrives as a day one release. Sony announced the lineup today with most of it going live on October 20 for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members, while Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition join the Premium tier the same day. The additions are split across three dates this month, though, since The Midnight Walk is available starting today, October 14, and three more titles follow on October 27, all on top of the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for October.
Things actually begin today with The Midnight Walk on PlayStation 5, the dark fantasy adventure from MoonHood, the creators of Lost in Random, Fe, and Ghost Giant. Players take on the role of The Burnt One, who teams up with a lantern creature named Potboy and uses his flame to get through five tales of fire and darkness. Every asset was sculpted from real clay before being scanned in and animated in a stop-motion style, which is why we called it one of the most unique-looking games we’d seen when it was first announced in September 2024. It’s also fully playable in PlayStation VR2 and goes live in Japan on October 15.
Leading the October 20 wave is Mafia: The Old Country on PlayStation 5, a little over a year after it launched on August 8, 2025 at $49.99. Hangar 13 took the series back to 1900s Sicily this time, following Enzo Favara as he earns his place in the Torrisi crime family in what the studio described as a focused, linear experience. Sony’s post lists the base game only, so don’t expect the Man of Honor expansion that arrived in August alongside the Omertà Collection to be part of the deal.

Sony is also bringing back Horizon Forbidden West on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, flagged as a re-release since the game first joined the Game Catalog in February 2023, a year after Guerrilla Games released it. Aloy’s second adventure takes her into the Forbidden West with bigger machines, new tribes, and a new enemy that stays a step ahead of her. As I said in my Burning Shores review, Forbidden West improved on Zero Dawn’s combat, characters, and world, even if the story and its villains were the weak point for me.
As for the day one release, that’s Mycopunk, which leaves Steam Early Access and arrives on PlayStation 5 on October 20. Developed by Pigeons at Play and published by Devolver Digital, it’s a four-player co-op looter shooter in which a squad of discarded robots, the New Atlas Hazard Crew, is sent by the SAXON corporation to clear a planet of a fungal outbreak. The draw is a grid-based upgrade system with hundreds of hand-crafted upgrades for its arsenal, along with an orbital dropship hub between missions. Mycopunk first entered Early Access on PC on July 10, 2025.
The October 27 wave for the U.S., the U.K., and Japan kicks off with Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, following Chapter 1’s addition to the catalog last October. Mob Entertainment’s sequel picks up right after the run-in with Huggy Wuggy, sending players deeper into the Playtime Co. toy factory with a GrabPack that can now grapple and swing, and a new toy, Mommy Long Legs, doing the hunting. Chapter 2 originally released on PC in May 2022 before the console versions arrived in September 2024.

JRPG fans can look forward to Tales of Arise – Beyond the Dawn Edition on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 the same day, which bundles Bandai Namco’s base game with the Beyond the Dawn expansion that arrived in November 2023. The story is set on Dahna, a planet ruled for 300 years by the neighboring world of Rena, and follows two protagonists born on opposite sides of that divide who set out to change their fates. The expansion adds a new storyline after the main game’s conclusion, centered on Nazamil, a girl born to a Renan lord and a Dahnan mother.
Closing out the October 27 wave is Monster Energy Supercross 25 – The Official Video Game on PlayStation 5, which Milestone rebuilt in Unreal Engine 5 for its April 2025 release. It was the first entry in the series to ship with the current season’s riders, bikes, and tracks, with the circuits built from the blueprints of the real championship rounds, and the revamped career mode adds rivalries and strategic choices between races. Milestone also included open tutorials and riding aids to ease players into the more simulation-leaning handling.
PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers get two additions on October 20, starting with Dino Crisis 2 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, the 2000 PlayStation sequel that follows the original Dino Crisis joining the Premium tier in October 2024. It picks up a year after the first game, with Regina returning alongside newcomer Dylan after a Third Energy accident wipes the research hub of Edward City off the map. Capcom moved the action out of the first game’s facility and into the jungles, caves, and lakes of the Cretaceous period, with more than 10 dinosaur species and a bigger arsenal.

The other Premium addition is RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Frontier Developments’ park builder with the Soaked! and Wild! expansions included, which add water parks and animal habitats to the standard scenarios and a money-free sandbox mode. The Complete Edition first launched on Switch and PC in 2020, and the PlayStation versions arrived in March 2025 at $29.99. As I said when Planet Coaster 2 joined the catalog in December, I grew up on Bullfrog’s Theme Park, so it’s always nice to see another park sim in the lineup. Atari also has RollerCoaster Tycoon Wonderworks due in Steam Early Access this winter at $24.99.
