Eight games are joining the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in September, plus two classics for Premium members, and the staggered regional rollout that shaped last month’s lineup is still in effect. The core date is September 15, but only two of the eight Extra and Premium titles actually land that day worldwide. One is available today, and the other five are split between September 22 and September 29 for the U.S., the UK, and Japan.
Leading the September 15 additions is RuneScape: Dragonwilds on PlayStation 5, Jagex’s co-op survival game set on the forgotten continent of Ashenfall, where dragons have woken up and the goal is to survive long enough to face the Dragon Queen. It’s the same day the game arrives on Game Pass, so both subscription services get it at once. In my first impressions from the Early Access launch, I found a bare-bones crafting survival game with a solid foundation, heavy Valheim influences, and probably the smoothest combat I’ve tried in the genre, and it has had well over a year of updates since then.
WWE 2K26 also hits September 15 on PlayStation 5, and it’s the other title with a clean worldwide date. 2K is calling it the most stacked roster in the series at more than 400 playable Superstars and Legends, spanning the Attitude Era through the current crop, with The Rock, Triple H, John Cena, and Rhea Ripley among the headliners. The Showcase mode is built around CM Punk this time, retelling his rivalries in a version of history where he never left and mixing in fantasy scenarios along the way.

Date Everything! is the one you can grab right now, available today on PlayStation 5 in the U.S. and the UK and tomorrow in Japan. It’s a dating sim where you lose your customer service job to AI, receive a pair of magic glasses called Dateviators in the mail, and discover every object in your house is now a person you can befriend, romance, or make an enemy of. The voice cast is the selling point, with a long list of recognizable names behind the furniture.
The September 22 wave for the U.S., the UK, and Japan pairs Ball x Pit with Slitterhead, both on PlayStation 5. Ball x Pit is Kenny Sun’s Breakout-meets-roguelite, where you bounce a growing arsenal of magic projectiles through the monster-filled pit beneath Ballbylon and spend the loot rebuilding the city above. In my review, I called it a sharp roguelite with smart upgrades, a clever town meta, and endlessly replayable runs, and it has picked up several free content updates since launch, the last of which dropped in August. Slitterhead, playable on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, is the action game from Silent Hill creator Keiichiro Toyama’s Bokeh Game Studio, casting you as Hyoki, a bodiless entity hunting shapeshifting monsters through the neon streets of Kowlong by possessing the humans around you.

September 29 brings three more for the same regions. Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, is The Game Kitchen’s 2D return to the series’ NES-era roots, following young ninja Kenji Mozu defending Hayabusa Village while Ryu is away in America. Dungeons of Hinterberg, also PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, sends Luisa to an Austrian Alps tourist town where the local dungeons have reactivated, splitting the day between puzzle dungeons and evenings spent getting to know the locals. Sniper Elite: Resistance rounds out the wave on both consoles, running a campaign parallel to Sniper Elite 5 with SOE agent Harry Hawker hunting a Nazi superweapon in occupied France, with the full campaign playable in co-op.
Premium members get two classics on September 15. Mega Man X Command Mission on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 is the 2004 turn-based RPG spin on the X series, with Mega Man X, Zero, and Axl defending Giga City across more than 50 missions. Metro Redux, PlayStation 4 only, bundles the remastered versions of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, which is a well-timed refresher with Metro 2039 due in February. If you’re after the free monthly games instead, September’s Monthly Games are already live.
