Resident Evil Requiem is less than three months away with its release on February 27, 2026, but Capcom still had a big surprise to unveil. At The Game Awards 2025, the developer confirmed that Resident Evil Requiem will star dual protagonists, with Leon S. Kennedy officially joining Grace Ashcroft. Together, they’ll investigate a series of strange deaths that may just lead to uncovering the hidden truth behind the infamous 1998 Raccoon City incident. In terms of gameplay, Leon will offer a contrast to Grace as a more action-oriented character. Meanwhile, Grace will focus more on survival horror gameplay.

Today’s trailer also confirmed Porsche’s involvement in the game, as the Cayenne Turbo GT will be Leon’s trusted ride. His debut also means the Deluxe Edition gets more items as it now includes three Leon costumes (Resident Evil 4, Apocalypse, and Film Noir) along with a DSO emblem weapon charm. This won’t be the last we hear about Resident Evil Requiem either, as a Resident Evil Showcase is set to premiere in early 2026 with even more information on the upcoming game.
