Today’s “Road to Requiem” presentation was packed with announcements for Resident Evil Requiem, the next entry in the storied franchise. Hosted by none other than Maggie Robertson, best known as the voice of Lady Alcina Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village, the broadcast not only gave an in-depth look back at the Resident Evil franchise but also shared details on what’s coming for Resident Evil Requiem. With a launch set for February 27, 2026, preorders for Resident Evil Requiem are now live for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

All preorders include Grace’s gritty “Apocalypse” costume as a bonus, but a Deluxe Edition will also be available that includes the base game along with an exclusive pack of five costumes, four weapon skins, two screen filters, two weapon charms, and more. Since Resident Evil Requiem marks Capcom’s debut on the Epic Games Store, those who purchase the game on the Epic Games Store will receive special Resident Evil-themed collaboration items in Fortnite, including the Grace outfit. Those collaboration items will be distributed after the game is released, so expect more details at a later date. Collectors can also get their hands on a Premium Steelbook Edition, which includes the full game, the Deluxe Edition contents, and a limited-edition lenticular card exclusive to this release.

For Switch 2 owners, there will be a special edition Resident Evil Requiem Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, featuring designs from the game and a gunmetal-inspired black finish. The controller is the same as a standard Switch 2 Pro Controller, which I found in my review to be a great upgrade over the original Switch Pro Controller. Look for the controller to go on sale on launch day, February 27, 2026. Later in the year, Grace will be the first-ever Resident Evil amiibo, set to launch in summer 2026.

While it’s not long before Resident Evil Requiem arrives, Capcom has confirmed that a Resident Evil Showcase will premiere early next year with another look at the upcoming title.
