A day after Control Resonant launched, Remedy has posted a community update outlining what’s coming to the game over the next couple of months, and the two headline items are a New Game++ option in October and Photo Mode in November. The studio says it’s following comments and feedback from the first day, and Photo Mode in particular is something it says players have been asking for. Control Resonant, which was one of our most anticipated games of 2026, is out now on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC, with physical editions following on October 15.
For anyone who has already finished the main story, Remedy points out that side quests, World Feats, and a New Game+ run are all still there afterward. The catch with New Game+ in its current form is that it only allows one additional playthrough, so Remedy is preparing an update that adds New Game++, which lets players start one New Game+ run after another without wiping their progress. That update should arrive in October, and Remedy jokes that players can do 665 runs if they want.
Photo Mode is the other big one, and Remedy says it has been working on it for a while with input from virtual photographers in the community. The reason it wasn’t ready at launch is that the studio prioritized getting the game itself into the best possible shape, and the current estimate is a release sometime in November. Players have already been posting screenshots without it, which Remedy says it has noticed.
On the cosmetics side, more pieces for Dylan are planned for future updates, with details coming closer to their release, though everything currently in the game still has to be found. There are also newsletter exclusive cosmetics for signing up on the Control site and a “test dummy” outfit earned through Twitch Drops by watching Control Resonant streams. For anyone worried about spoilers, Remedy’s own suggestion is to mute the stream and leave it running in a background tab.
