April 2026 was a strong month for new releases on the PlayStation 5 charts, with Pragmata leading the headlines. Capcom’s brand-new sci-fi IP cracked the top three in the U.S. and Canada, finishing at #2 behind MLB The Show 26 and just ahead of Crimson Desert, with another #5 finish in the EU. That’s an impressive run for a debut IP that just crossed two million units sold in 16 days. MLB The Show 26 unsurprisingly took the top spot in the U.S. and Canada with baseball season in full swing, while EA Sports FC 26 led the EU charts, doing what soccer games tend to do over there. Hades II and Saros both charted in the U.S., the latter doing so with a partial month on the books after its April 30 launch.

On PlayStation 4, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to dominate both regions, followed by Gang Beasts in second across the board, likely the result of a discount or sale. The PlayStation 4 charts otherwise remain populated by older multiplayer staples like Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Star Wars Battlefront II, and A Way Out, the last of which keeps climbing as Hazelight’s profile rises after Split Fiction’s success.

For PlayStation VR2, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge – Enhanced Edition took the top spot in both regions, knocking Beat Saber down to #2 in the U.S. and Canada and #5 in the EU. The platform’s former king continues to slide after Beat Games stopped supporting the platform. Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes also debuted, charting at #8 in the U.S. and #10 in the EU. On the free-to-play side, the top four are identical across both regions: Roblox, Fortnite, Rocket League, and Call of Duty: Warzone. NTE: Neverness to Everness made its first appearance, debuting at #5 in both regions.
