Crimson Desert continues to move fast. Pearl Abyss announced that the game has now sold through three million copies worldwide, up from the two million milestone it hit within the first 24 hours of launch. The game released on March 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, meaning it added another million copies in just a few days.

“To everyone who has stepped into Pywel and shared this journey with us, thank you,” Pearl Abyss shared on social media. “Your feedback continues to help shape the experience, and we will keep working to make the journey ahead even more enjoyable for our players.”

The studio has already been responding quickly to community feedback, pushing out its first major patch with storage, combat rebalancing, and keyboard and mouse improvements. For a new single-player title from a studio primarily known for an MMO, three million copies in under a week is pretty impressive. I still haven’t had a chance to dive in yet, and might wait a few more months for updates before setting off on the adventure. Plenty of other games to play in the meantime.
