The PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup for April 2026 brings a solid mix of genres, headlined by Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and The Crew Motorfest. After strong additions in March like Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and Persona 5 Royal, this month keeps things going with a varied selection that ranges from open-world action to roguelike deckbuilding. All titles will be available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members starting April 21.

The standout this month is Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered on PlayStation 5. Handled by Nixxes, this remaster of Guerrilla’s 2017 hit brings the original up to the visual standard of its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, with over 10 hours of re-recorded dialogue, new motion capture, and enhanced DualSense support. Players take on the role of Aloy, a young machine hunter and outcast of her tribe, as she uncovers the truth behind the machines that dominate the world. If you somehow missed this one the first time around, this is the best way to experience it. PlayStation 4 players will get access to Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition instead.

Racing fans have a lot to look forward to with The Crew Motorfest on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Set across the Hawaiian archipelago, this open-world racer is all about celebrating car culture through themed events, thrilling races, and unique challenges. From Honolulu’s city streets to volcanic slopes and rainforest trails, there’s a wide variety of environments to tear through solo or with friends. With hundreds of iconic vehicles to choose from, it should keep anyone with even a passing interest in racing games busy for a long time.

Football Manager 26 | Image: Sports Interactive

Football Manager 26 Console on PlayStation 5 marks the long-awaited return of the series after Football Manager 25 was canceled earlier last year. This entry promises the biggest visual leap in the franchise’s history, with upgraded match day visuals, new motion capture, and the Premier League fully licensed for the first time. Whether Sports Interactive delivered on the ambitions that ultimately sank Football Manager 25 remains to be seen, but soccer fans should have plenty of reason to dive in and find out.

For fans of Koei Tecmo’s Warriors franchise, Warriors: Abyss on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 brings an action roguelite twist to the formula. Players will battle through the trials of hell with over 100 heroes to choose from, summoning allies and combining their unique traits to create powerful parties. It’s a musou game at its core, but the roguelite structure adds replayability as players fight their way through endless hordes of enemies and dead souls.

Squirrel with a Gun on PlayStation 5 is exactly what it sounds like. Players take on the role of a gun-toting squirrel on a mission to collect golden acorns, escape a secret underground facility, and cause as much mayhem as possible. It’s a sandbox shooter and puzzle platformer that doesn’t take itself seriously, and it’s the kind of game that’s perfect for a quick, chaotic play session when you want something lighthearted.

The Casting of Frank Stone | Image: Supermassive Games

Those looking for a narrative horror experience can check out The Casting of Frank Stone on PlayStation 5. From Supermassive Games, the studio behind Until Dawn and The Quarry, this choice-driven adventure is set in the Dead by Daylight universe. The story follows a group of young friends in Cedar Hills, a town haunted by Frank Stone’s violent legacy. Every decision shapes the story, and as you’d expect from Supermassive Games, it’s filled with emotional moments and high-stakes horror. If you’re a fan of the studio’s work, this one is well worth the download, especially with Directive 8020 right around the corner.

Rounding out the Extra and Premium additions is Monster Train on PlayStation 5, a roguelike deckbuilder with a clever twist. Instead of defending a single battlefield, players protect three vertical battlegrounds simultaneously as they fight to restore hell’s final burning pyre against the forces of heaven. With six monster clans, over 280 cards, and 25 difficulty levels, there’s an absurd amount of variety packed in. If you’ve burned through Slay the Spire 2 and are looking for your next deckbuilder obsession, Monster Train is one of the best in the genre. I absolutely loved its sequel.

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers get Wild Arms 4 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Originally released on PlayStation 2, this JRPG is set in the war-torn world of Filgaia, where a new journey begins 10 years after peace was won. Like other classic titles in the Premium catalog, it comes enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters.
