Nintendo announced today that a new Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle will arrive at participating retailers in early June for $499.99. The bundle pairs a Nintendo Switch 2 system with a download code for one of three first-party games: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokémon Pokopia. Per Nintendo, the bundle offers a value of up to $29.99 compared to buying the system and game separately, which works out to either a partial discount on the $79.99 first-party titles or roughly $20 off the standard $69.99 retail price for Pokopia.

If you’ve been holding off on a Switch 2, this might be the best bundle to grab before Nintendo’s $50 price increase kicks in on September 1, 2026. Starting that day, the standalone Switch 2 jumps from $449.99 to $499.99 in the U.S., which means picking up the Choose Your Game Bundle for $499.99 in June effectively bakes a free first-party game into the pre-hike price. That’s about as good a deal as you’re going to see on a Switch 2 in 2026.

The three included games cover a wide range of player preferences. Mario Kart World is the open-world Mario Kart that launched alongside the Switch 2 last June and remains the best-selling Switch 2 game by a wide margin, mainly because of the launch bundle. Donkey Kong Bananza is the destruction-focused 3D platformer co-starring Pauline, which has been one of the most pleasant surprises of the Switch 2’s launch year. And Pokémon Pokopia is the building and crafting life sim that I called the best Pokémon game I’ve ever played in my review, even though it’s technically not really a Pokémon game in the traditional sense.

Nintendo hasn’t shared a specific launch date beyond “early June” or confirmed which retailers will carry the bundle, though typical participating retailers include Best Buy, Target, Walmart, GameStop, and Amazon. The Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle will be available for a limited time while supplies last, so anyone planning to take advantage of it should keep an eye out for preorder details over the next few weeks.
