Nintendo announced two new Switch 2 bundles today, one pairing the console with Mario Kart World in late September and the other with Nintendo Switch Sports Resort on October 22, and both include a three-month Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership. They follow the Choose Your Game bundle from earlier this year, and they arrive just as the standard Switch 2’s suggested retail price increases to $499.99 on September 1.
The Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle lands first in late September at $549.99, packing the console, a full download of the game, and the three-month membership, which Nintendo says is a savings of $37.98 compared to buying each item individually. In my Mario Kart World review, I called it a great launch title to show off what the Switch 2 is capable of, running at a rock solid 60 FPS whether docked or handheld, so it’s a sensible pairing for anyone finally picking up the console. It’s also a return of the bundle available at launch.
The Switch 2 + Nintendo Switch Sports Resort Bundle follows on October 22, the same day the game launches exclusively on Switch 2, priced at $529.99 for a savings of $27.98. Preorders for that bundle open soon on the Nintendo Store, Nintendo eShop, and participating retailers.
As for the game itself, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort takes the series to Wuhu Island, the sporting retreat familiar from Wii Sports Resort, with 12 different sports built around intuitive motion controls and playable with a custom Sportsmate or Mii character. The lineup runs from leisure activities like Prop Plane and Power Cruising to competitive fare like Boxing, Archery, Bowling, and Thumb Wrestling, and you can even warm up with a round of Jump Rope before playing.
The Mario Kart World bundle doesn’t have a specific date beyond late September yet, so keep an eye out for preorder details on both as the price change kicks in next week.
