Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave DLC Wave 1 Launches Today
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave’s Expansion Pass comes in three waves, starting today with weapons modeled after Three Houses’ Heroes’ Relics.
Nintendo has laid out the Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, and the first of its three paid DLC waves arrives later today, October 14, less than a month after the game launched on September 17 on Switch 2. Wave 1 is the lightest of the three, adding prototype weapons for the four Heroes, Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda, modeled after the Heroes’ Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The Expansion Pass is priced at $34.99 and covers all three waves.
The bigger additions come later, and Nintendo’s dates are listed as the end of each year rather than specific days. Wave 2, listed for the end of 2026, lets players enlist three gods, Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah, to fight alongside them in battle, and it adds new outfits to wear. Wave 3 is a full year out, listed for the end of 2027, and it’s the one carrying the story content: four new stories featuring Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel, and Anatolia, along with new allies, classes, and more that Nintendo hasn’t detailed yet.
The Three Houses connection runs through the main game as well, since the progenitor god Sothis is the one who sets the player on the path to saving the Dagdan Empire. As I mentioned in our top games to play in September, I finished a first playthrough of Three Houses specifically to prepare for Fortune’s Weave. Since then, I’ve been playing it at my own pace rather than rushing through it for a review. It’s a long game, and it seems like it’s best enjoyed slowly.
