Los Angeles is getting the first Capcom Store in the U.S., though it’s only sticking around for a month. The Capcom Store Pop-Up opens to the public on Saturday, September 19 inside Little Akihabara, the Japanese pop culture shop in Little Tokyo, and runs through October 18 with daily hours of 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM Pacific. The Capcom Store is the company’s official retail brand in Japan, selling merchandise across Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and the rest of its catalog, and the L.A. version will carry the same kind of plushies, apparel, charms, and other character goods, along with life-size Street Fighter and Mega Man statues on display.

The bigger draw for opening weekend is Mega Man: Dual Override, which is getting its first public demo in the U.S. on September 19 and 20. Capcom is being upfront that participation will be extremely limited across both days, so anyone hoping to play the twelfth mainline entry ahead of its spring 2027 launch should plan on arriving early. The first 50 attendees on each of those two days also get a limited-edition Tokyo Game Show handkerchief featuring Capcom games. Additional playable demos of other recent Capcom titles will be available throughout the pop-up’s run, though Capcom hasn’t said which ones.

The timing lines up with Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs September 17 through 21, and Capcom is kicking off its TGS news with a Capcom Spotlight stream on September 16 at 7:00 AM Pacific (10:00 AM Eastern). Little Akihabara Popup Shop & Live is located at 319 E 2nd St. #122, Los Angeles, CA 90012, and Capcom is pointing fans to Little Akihabara’s Instagram for the latest updates on the store.
