Xenoblade Chronicles X got detailed earlier today during a Nintendo Direct event in Japan focusing solely on the upcoming JRPG for the Wii U. Releasing in Japan April 29, it’s currently unknown when Xenoblade Chronicles X will hit North America. Regardless, Monolith Soft has shared over 24 minutes of in-game footage, showcasing the game’s giant open world and massive creatures as well as some of the characters players will get to control in their journey.

During the event, Monolith Soft also confirmed that the game will have four-player online co-op and that the game will be fives times larger than the original Xenoblade Chronicles world.
