Nintendo will be hosting a Xenoblade Chronicles X Direct on April 24 at 11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET. The video showcase will share more information about the upcoming JRPG that is heading to the Wii U and the company will host a Nintendo Treehouse live video presentation where developers will share more about the game and its features. Xenoblade Chronicles X will be heading to the Wii U later this year and hopefully Nintendo will share a release date during the Xenoblade Chronicles X Direct tomorrow. The JRPG is a spiritual successor to the popular Xenoblade Chronicles, which was originally released on the Nintendo Wii in 2011 before getting a re-release on the New Nintendo 3DS earlier this month. The game will be released in Japan on April 29, 2015 and is an open-world RPG taking place in the year 2054.

Over the past couple of months, numerous details on the game as well as in-depth videos have been released in Japan, showcasing the game’s massive open-world, gorgeous graphics and battle system. Most recently, the developer announced that the game will feature four-player online co-op and the world will be about five times larger than the original Xenoblade Chronicles.

Xenoblade Chronicles X was first revealed in 2013 during a Nintendo Direct event in January before more details were shared during E3 2013. The game is being developed by Monolith Soft.
