The XBOX 25th anniversary collection finally has its preorder details, a little over two months after the OG Green reveal back in June. The collection pairs the XBOX Series X25 Limited Edition console with the X25 Special Edition Wireless Controller, launches on November 13, 2026, and carries an MSRP of $899.99, with pricing varying by market.
If you’re interested in getting your hands on one, here’s how. Some of XBOX’s most dedicated fans are receiving preorder invites via email starting today, while everyone else in select markets gets their chance tomorrow, Thursday, August 27 at 7:00 AM Pacific (10:00 AM Eastern) through the XBOX site or participating retailers. Preorders run while supplies last and are limited to one collection per customer, so you probably don’t want to be late to the F5 refresh game if you want it.

As for the hardware itself, the Series X25 wraps the console in a translucent OG Green finish inspired by the original XBOX, with tributes hidden throughout and each unit individually numbered with a unique engraving. Microsoft also saved one surprise for preorder day: every Series X25 comes with a full download of Halo: Campaign Evolved, the ground-up remake of Halo: Combat Evolved that launched on July 28. Bundling Master Chief’s first adventure with an anniversary console is about as on-theme as it gets, considering the original game helped define the platform 25 years ago.
For those who don’t want to spend $899.99, the X25 Special Edition Wireless Controller is also available separately, with preorders open now in select markets ahead of its October 20 launch. It carries the same translucent OG Green styling as the console. The collection joins a busy anniversary slate that already includes the XBOX FanFest tour, yesterday’s Designed for XBOX 25th anniversary gear, and the ROG XBOX Ally X20, which we noted at the reveal is one letter away from the Series X25 and still very much a different device.
