The Game Awards 2025 has come and gone, packed full of trailers, announcements, and winners. After setting a record with 12 nominations, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 took home nine trophies tonight, including Game of the Year.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was our favorite game of the year and quickly found its way onto my list of the best games I’ve ever played, so we do believe it deserves many of its wins. As I said in my review, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is the reason why I play and love video games. It masterfully takes inspiration from multiple games, somehow molding them into a unique gameplay experience that feels fresh yet familiar. In case you missed it, the team at Sandfall Interactive released a “Thank You” update tonight, featuring all new content for the game.
