Polyarc has officially revealed Moss: The Forgotten Relic, a definitive edition of its acclaimed Moss series that combines the original Moss, Moss: Book II, and the Twilight Garden DLC into a single, enhanced adventure. The game is scheduled to launch in Summer 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

For anyone unfamiliar, Moss follows Quill, a young mouse with dreams of greatness beyond the confines of her home. The series blends exploration, environmental puzzles, combat, and what Polyarc describes as “a heartfelt connection between player and hero,” all set within the pages of a living storybook. The Forgotten Relic is the first time the series is making its way to flat-screen platforms, having previously been a VR-exclusive experience.

The Forgotten Relic isn’t just a port, though. Polyarc is calling it a reimagining, with enhanced visuals and performance, new handcrafted cutscenes, a smart follow camera, and an optional “skip combat” accessibility feature for players who want to focus on the story and puzzles. All of the Twilight Garden DLC is included as well. Acclaimed composer Jason Graves, who scored the original games, is back for the orchestral soundtrack.

“This is something our team has been quietly working on for quite a while, and it feels really good to finally share this with you all,” the team at Polyarc wrote in the announcement. There’s no exact release date or pricing yet, but with summer just around the corner, more details shouldn’t be too far off. The game is up for wishlist on Steam now.
