It has already been a year since the new PlayStation Plus tiered plans were rolled out and Sony is celebrating the milestone with 10 days of activities for the PlayStation community. The company also announced that it is currently testing cloud streaming for supported PlayStation 5 games, including titles from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Game Trials, and supported digital PlayStation 5 games that players own. Although no release date has been announced, PlayStation did confirm that once it’s available, cloud game streaming support for PlayStation 5 titles will be available for use directly on the PlayStation 5 console. This means Premium members can jump into their favorite games without downloading them. This will be an additional benefit to PlayStation Plus Premium members when it launches.

As for the new additions to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, here are the games that will be joining next week:

  • Far Cry 6 (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5)
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5)
  • Rogue Legacy 2 (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5)
  • Inscryption (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5)
  • Soulstice (PlayStation 5)
  • Tacoma (PlayStation 4)
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PlayStation 4)
  • Killing Floor 2 (PlayStation 4)

In addition, a game trial for WWE2K23 (PlayStation 4) will be available starting June 20.

PlayStation Plus Celebration

As part of the celebration, PlayStation Plus members and non-PlayStation Plus members will all receive a free voucher code to redeem custom avatars that celebrate some of the popular titles that have been offered through PlayStation Plus. Check your email or the PlayStation Plus website for a voucher code that can be redeemed from June 20 to June 30. A free wallpaper for desktop and mobile will also be available between those dates.

The PlayStation Stars program will get three exclusive digital collectible rings that will be available through several different campaigns from June 20 to June 30. PlayStation Plus Extra, Premium, and Deluxe members can collect the Game Catalog ring by playing one of the recent Game Catalog additions: Final Fantasy VII Remake, Demon’s Souls, Yakuza Kiwami, Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection, or Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection.

The next collectible is the Classic Catalog ring, which will be available for PlayStation Plus Premium and Deluxe members. To obtain this reward, players will have to launch the four games that match the hints provided once the campaign begins, so be on the lookout. Finally, the Game Trials reward for PlayStation Plus Premium and Deluxe members can be obtained by playing any one of these featured PlayStation Plus Game Trials: God of War Ragnarök, MLB The Show 23 (PlayStation 4), The Last of Us Part I, Dying Light 2, or Stay Human (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5).

Sony is also giving away a PlayStation 5 console and PlayStation VR2 headset between June 20 to June 30. You’ll want to check the PlayStation Plus site for more information on that promotion.

Also part of the festivities is a free online multiplayer weekend starting June 24 through June 25. Finally, there is going to be a PlayStation Plus Speedrun Challenge for Sackboy: A Big Adventure on PlayStation 5. Starting June 24 to June 25, players will have the chance to win a three-month PlayStation Plus Premium or Deluxe membership by taking on the challenge in-game within the Knitted Knight Trials via the Pause Menu or World Map. Players can also select the challenge card from the Sackboy Game Hub to participate.
