Marvel’s Wolverine is now just under two months from launch, and Insomniac Games marked the countdown today with a new trailer titled Ain’t No Hero. The name comes straight from Logan’s defining line in the game’s first gameplay reveal, where he growled “I ain’t no hero. I’m Wolverine,” and it reinforces how Insomniac is framing the character ahead of the game’s September 15 release on PlayStation 5.

The overview accompanying the trailer leans into the phrase, describing Logan’s signature spin on heroism as much darker and more brutal than you might expect from Insomniac. The story is an original globe-spanning thriller that sends Wolverine hunting for the secrets of a past that keeps eluding him, with excursions to the island nation of Madripoor, the frosted wilderness of Canada, and the streets of Tokyo. Familiar faces along the way include the elusive Mystique and the brutish Omega Red, with some characters fighting alongside Logan while others come after him, like the Reavers, an enemy faction designed to keep his instincts on edge. This trailer sees some new but familiar faces, including Sabretooth and Lady Deathstrike. Insomniac is building the whole thing on its usual foundation of fast, ferocious combat, big set pieces, extensive accessibility options, and a story that digs into what makes the character tick.

Marvel’s Wolverine was first announced back in 2021 and spent years mostly out of sight before Insomniac, the studio behind the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise, gave it a Fall 2026 window last September alongside its first real gameplay showing. The September 15 release date was confirmed this past February, and unlike Insomniac’s open-world Spider-Man games, this one isn’t set in an open world. Marvel’s Wolverine launches September 15 exclusively on PlayStation 5, and preorders are already live.
