It’s our most anticipated game of the year, and now we know when we’ll be able to get our claws on it. Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games is now set to launch on September 15, 2026, assuming no delays. Much like Wolverine’s personality, Insomniac Games didn’t beat around the bush with some lengthy trailer for the release date. Instead, it “cut to the chase” with a six-second clip dropping the announcement. It’s actually pretty unceremonious considering how highly anticipated the title is. It’s certainly interesting that PlayStation didn’t want to wait for its own presentation or even hold the announcement for Summer Game Fest. Then again, we already know this game is going to sell like crazy.

With a September 15 release date, Marvel’s Wolverine lands two months out of Grand Theft Auto VI’s window, which is launching on November 19 (assuming no more delays). That also leaves it away from the next Call of Duty game, which typically drops in October or November. It will be interesting to see if Phantom Blade Zero, slated for September 9, decides to change its release date to move out of Wolverine’s way.
