During today’s Nintendo Direct event, the company showed off some new footage of Monolith’s upcoming X title that is in development for the Wii U. The battle footage was packed with plenty of action and those that played through Xenoblade Chronicles will find it familiar, except for the addition of awesome mechs and robots.

According to Monolith, the upcoming X game for the Wii U will use the core battle system from Xenoblade Chronicles but has received a lot more polish for the new game. Unfortunately, that’s all the information that was shared, but the video has surely gotten us excited for the upcoming game.

The footage of Monolith’s upcoming title starts at the 34:52 mark.
