Hell Let Loose: Vietnam made our list of the top games to play in June, which makes this a little disappointing to write up. Team17 and developer Expression Games are delaying the Vietnam-era shooter from June 18 to August 13, a roughly two-month slip for the follow-up to 2021’s Hell Let Loose.

The decision comes off the back of the open beta, which the team says drew more than 350,000 players over its run. Between that feedback and intensive internal playtests on both PC and console, the studio flagged several areas that needed more work and decided the extra time was worth it for performance, stability, and overall gameplay quality.

The beta wrapped on June 1, and the delay landed the very next day, a little over two weeks before the planned June 18 launch. That’s late in the cycle to move a date, and it sucks for anyone who already had it circled on their calendar. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam now targets August 13 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC, with Expression Games promising more updates in the weeks ahead.
