GTA Roleplay is getting official backing from Rockstar Games, with the company announcing that the NoPixel V closed beta arrives September 8 and that invited players will access the experience through the Rockstar Games Launcher. Rockstar credits NoPixel with continually pushing the boundaries of GTA Roleplay through character immersion, modifications to the Grand Theft Auto V map, and a community of dedicated storytellers. A trailer is up now on NoPixel’s YouTube channel, and livestreams kick off across platforms on September 8, with familiar faces reprising fan-favorite characters and new personalities starting their own stories across Los Santos.
For those who are unaware, GTA Roleplay transforms Grand Theft Auto V into a community-run, multiplayer version of Los Santos where players create their own characters and tell their own stories, from civilians pursuing an honest living to criminals chasing their next score, with a player-run police force keeping both in check. NoPixel V overhauls the formula with a reworked character customization system, new corners of the city that include the brand-new Pixel Hotel & Casino and a six-block revamp of Cypress Flats, refreshed visuals, new ways to make a living on either side of the law, and smarter, more reactive pedestrians.
There’s a reward for tuning in, too. Watching GTA Roleplay streamers play NoPixel V on Twitch from September 8 through 30 earns up to GTA$1.5 million and the Burger Shot Tracksuit in GTA Online via Twitch Drops. Rockstar says more news is coming on future updates, including a new PC in-game overlay, upcoming events, and expanded access to NoPixel V, and all of this lands as Grand Theft Auto VI approaches its November 19 launch on PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S. The invite-only phase is just the start.
