Cygames has released a demo for Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok across all platforms, giving newcomers a way to try the action RPG ahead of the expansion’s July 9, 2026 launch. The studio also put out a third trailer, “The Journey So Far,” that recaps Relink’s story while folding in Endless Ragnarok’s new combat and modes.

The free-to-download demo covers an early slice of Relink’s main story along with several playable characters, split across Story Mode, a solo or co-op Quest Mode, and a Tutorial Mode. Quest Mode supports crossplay matchmaking and includes four quests, with the fourth, “Sephira’s Sanguine Glimmer,” unlocking after three clears and introducing the new Summons battle mechanic. Clearing demo content earns rewards that can be redeemed in the full game once Endless Ragnarok launches, and the Star Sword Sovereign Seofon has been added as a playable character since the open beta.

Endless Ragnarok itself is a substantial addition to Relink, with its story unlocked by clearing the existing quest “The Tale of Bahamut’s Rage,” which also opens up Chaos-difficulty content and the new Summons. Those Summons are powerful allies that can be called into the tougher Chaos-or-higher quests. The expansion also brings the Conflux, a new solo mode unlocked through a side quest in Seedhollow during Chapter 6, with its later Cycles handing out materials for upgrading weapons and sigils.

Six new playable characters join with the expansion, including Beatrix, Eustace, Gallanza, Maglielle, Fraux, and Fediel, each unlocked through different means like trading Crewmate Cards or progressing through Endless Ragnarok’s story. Relink will also get a major update at the same time, adding quality-of-life improvements, overall rebalancing, and new side quests, with full details promised in a livestream scheduled for July 8 in Japan.

Relink is the action RPG set in the long-running Granblue Fantasy universe, the franchise whose original game recently arrived on Steam. Granblue Fantasy: Relink – Endless Ragnarok releases July 9, 2026, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and PC via Steam. We really enjoyed our time with the base game, spending around 60 hours with it as a group. We’re looking forward to jumping back in to experience everything Endless Ragnarok has to offer.
