You can now download the Sony PS4 1.50 system update ahead of time, storing it onto a USB stick so that you can update your shiny new console the second you get it on November 15, 2013. The PS4 1.50 system update will be around 300 MB in size, which could be a troublesome download when the system launches and all those gamers are hammering Sony’s servers for the patch.
Previously, Sony announced that the PS4 will automatically download the update as soon as the system has an Internet connection and users will be able to play offline, single-player games while it does. But you’ll want to avoid all that by simply downloading the update now, copying it to a USB stick and updating the console as soon as you plug it in and fire it up.
The PS4 1.50 system update will unlock features such as Remote Play, Second Screen, the ability to record gameplay and more.
