Sony has detailed the upcoming beta for PS4’s 3.50 update, codenamed MUSASHI. The beta program will kick off tomorrow and those that have signed up for the beta and have been selected should keep an eye out on their email for instructions on how to download the beta.

Some of the new features heading to PS4 3.50 including new social features such as adding an option to be notified when members of your friends list sign onto the network. Gamers will also be able to appear offline so that they can play a game or watch a movie without being bothered by friends. The update will also add the ability to schedule a future gameplay session with friends on the system and those that register for the event will automatically be added to the party when the event starts. Lastly, the Play Together feature will allow all members of a party to see what each person is playing, so that they can easily join a friend’s game or start a new game together.

More interesting is the confirmation that PS4 Remote Play will be heading to Windows PC and Mac as part of the 3.50 update, although the feature won’t be available to test in the beta. The update will also add Dailymotion, the ability to live stream directly to the service on PS4. It will also support archiving live broadcasts.
