One of our favorite games of the year, Dispatch, is heading to the Switch and Switch 2 systems next year on January 28, 2026. The game is currently available for preorder on the U.S. eShop for $26.99, including a 10% discount until it launches. Afterwards, it’ll be its normal price of $29.99. Developer AdHoc Studio is charging the same price for both versions of the game, and the upgrade pack is available for free if you end up with a Switch 2 at a later date. On the standard Switch, the game’s file size is estimated at 6.4GB, while the Switch 2 version is 14.6GB.

The product page doesn’t specify whether it’ll be an episodic release starting January 28, 2026, but given that all episodes are already available on PlayStation and PC, it’s probably safe to assume Switch players will get the entire season at once.

As someone who was a huge fan of classic titles from Telltale Games, I started to lose hope that we’ll ever get a true spiritual successor. Thankfully, many of those former Telltale devs have found a new home with AdHoc Studio, and Dispatch gives me renewed hope that this method of storytelling can continue to thrive. It’s a great fit for the Nintendo Switch handheld, too, since I played several episodes on my ROG Xbox Ally X and loved it. If you want to learn more, I go into detail about the game in my Dispatch review, where I said my only real complaint about the game is that I felt it was too short and left me wanting more.
