When Pearl Abyss revealed Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown during the September 3 State of Play, the first DLC for Crimson Desert was set for October 15, but it’s now releasing two weeks later on October 29. In a message posted to the game’s official X account, the team said it needs additional development time to deliver a more polished and stable experience, and it apologized for the longer wait. Pearl Abyss says the extra two weeks will go toward further refining the content, and the DLC now unlocks at 3:00 PM Pacific (6:00 PM Eastern).

Charting the Unknown costs $24.99 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and preorders include the Charter’s Diving Set for Kliff and Oongka and the Charter’s Light Diving Set for Damiane. The DLC lets you take command of your own ship and sail out to uncharted islands, with underwater treasures and sunken ruins below the surface and new threats on both land and sea. It also upgrades housing, so you can customize a home, rent and manage facilities, and build deeper bonds with the people of Pywel. New stories cover an ominous presence in the desert, a dangerous political conflict, a journey beyond time, and an ancient secret beneath the waves.

Crimson Desert launched on March 19 and went on to cross six million copies sold in 83 days, and at the time, Pearl Abyss said content and feature updates would arrive gradually from June through September. The game is also nominated for PC Game of the Year and Best Soundtrack at the Golden Joystick Awards 2026.
