Pokkén Tournament has been announced as a Pokémon fighting game being developed in collaboration with Bandai Namco, publisher of the Tekken series. The announcement this morning featured The Pokémon Company CEO along with Tekken chief producer Katsuhiro Harada and Soulcalibur producer Masaaki Hoshino. In a trailer released to the public, it was revealed that Pokkén Tournament will be heading to arcades in Japan next year and likely be heading to the U.S. considering its announcement on an American YouTube channel.
In addition, on the official Twitter account for the game, the developers are taking suggestions for the rest of the cast as only Lucario and Machamp have been made in development so far.
