About six weeks after its August 27 launch, Star Wars Zero Company has passed one million copies sold, according to EA’s official Star Wars account. The same post confirms that Patch 1.2 will release next week as a follow-up to Patch 1.1 on September 9, though there’s no exact date or patch notes for the new update yet. Developed by Bit Reactor with Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games, the turn-based tactics game is available on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC.

The milestone comes just days after Bit Reactor CEO Greg Foertsch said on Bluesky that the studio has started bringing more of its team back to work. Shortly after launch, Bit Reactor confirmed it had furloughed many of its workers ahead of release and hoped to bring them back with restored pay if the game performed well. Foertsch called the return an important step in the studio’s continued support for Star Wars Zero Company, but he didn’t say how many employees are coming back.

Star Wars Zero Company was one of our most anticipated games of 2026, and in my review, I said it was exactly the game I was hoping for back in my Star Wars Outlaws review. At the time, I wanted to see an indie developer finally get a shot at Star Wars, and Bit Reactor’s debut far exceeded my expectations for a modern Star Wars title. That said, I called the unbalanced credit income my biggest complaint, and I ran into occasional soft locks on PC that required reloading a save.
