Yoshi’s New Island will be released on March 14, 2014 for the Nintendo 2DS and 3DS handheld consoles. The trailer released today shows off some of Yoshi’s New Island’s exotic locations as well as the new eggs Yoshi will be able to take into battle. In addition, Nintendo showed off Yoshi getting a pair of wings, which are designed to help ease newer players to the game, allowing Yoshi to float in the air while platforming. And unlike traditional Mario games, Yoshi’s New Island will not have a countdown timer so players can take in all the sights and sounds as they explore with Baby Mario on their back.
