Nintendo has confirmed that the Yoshi’s New Island 3DS XL will head to North American and will be available on March 14, the same day the game will be released for the 2DS and 3DS consoles. Finished in a lime green and white combination, the special edition 3DS XL features everyone’s favorite green dinosaur on the front along with Yoshi’s signature egg.
Oddly enough, the Yoshi’s New Island 3DS XL will not be a bundle and does not include a copy of the game. It will be priced at $199 however, making it the same price as the standard 3DS XL system.
Yoshi’s New Island is a direct sequel to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island and will be a 2D platformer starring Yoshi and Baby Mario.
