With Forza Horizon 6 now just under a month away, Xbox has unveiled limited edition hardware to celebrate the series’ long-awaited trip to Japan. Playground Games’ open-world racer arrives on Xbox Series X|S and PC on May 19, with a PlayStation 5 version following later in 2026. Both a new controller and headset are inspired by the game’s Japanese setting, and both are available to preorder from the Microsoft Store and Amazon now.

The Xbox Wireless Controller – Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition is priced at $89.99 and takes its design cues from the winding Touge roads of Japan. It features black and pink diamond-patterned grips, a translucent top case and triggers that reveal dynamic lighting effects around a pink and green Xbox button, bold pink thumbsticks, multi-color ABXY buttons, and a Horizon logo stamped on the battery door. Battery life is rated up to 40 hours, and the controller pairs with Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Android, iOS, and PC. I’m not sure why, but it’s giving me some strong Saved by the Bell diner vibes.

The Xbox Wireless Headset – Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition comes in at $134.99 and leans into the Horizon Festival vibe with custom start-up sounds inspired by Japan. It’s built around an internal rechargeable battery that delivers up to 20 hours of use.

As someone who grew up embedded in Japanese car culture, the Touge-inspired controller design is genuinely cool, and it’s the kind of detail enthusiasts will appreciate. That said, $89.99 is a steep ask for an Xbox Wireless Controller when the standard model sits at $64.99, and $134.99 for the headset is similarly on the higher end, though it’s not as big of a gap compared to the standard $119.99 price.
