Xbox Game Pass is kicking off 2024 with an exciting lineup of games, starting with Close to the Sun available on Cloud, Console, and PC today. This narrative-driven steampunk adventure tells the story of Rose Archer, who is searching for her sister on Tesla’s Helios. Available tomorrow, January 4, is Hell Let Loose (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), a hardcore first-person shooter with massive 100-player battles.

A notable addition on January 9 is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (Cloud, Console, and PC). This Assassin’s Creed entry has players taking on the role of Eivor, a legendary Viking warrior, as they explore England’s Dark Ages. Also available on January 9 is Figment (Cloud, Console, and PC), an action-adventure game that invites players to explore a surreal universe packed with music, humor, and a multi-layered narrative.

January 11 will see two additions to the Xbox Game Pass library: Super Mega Baseball 4 (Cloud, Console, and PC via EA Play) and We Happy Few (Cloud, Console, and PC). The former is an arcade-inspired baseball game, while the latter is an action-adventure game where players hide, fight, and conform their way out of a delusional Joy-obsessed world.

Rounding out the January additions are Resident Evil 2 and Those Who Remain, both slated for release on Cloud, Console, and PC on January 16. Resident Evil 2 is a remake of the classic, featuring new visuals, modern gameplay mechanics, and an over-the-shoulder perspective. Meanwhile, Those Who Remain is a psychological-thriller game that has players trying to keep their sanity in the sleepy town of Dormont.

The following games are leaving the Game Pass library in the first half of January 2024:

January 5:

  • Grand Theft Auto V (Cloud and Console)

January 15:

  • Garden Story (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • MotoGP 22 (Cloud, Console, and PC)
  • Persona 4 Golden (Cloud, Console, and PC)
