Microsoft has announced the first wave of games heading to Xbox Game Pass for August 2023. As was revealed last month, Celeste (Cloud, Console, and PC) is available starting today. Starting August 3, A Short Hike (Cloud, Console, PC) will be available where players can hike, climb, and soar through the peaceful mountainside landscapes of Hawk Peak Provincial Park. Then, on August 8, switch gears entirely to Broforce Forever (Cloud, Console, and PC), an action-packed side-scrolling run ‘n’ gun game. It includes the long-awaited Broforce Forever content that features an improved and expanded campaign with new unlocks, six new ultra patriotic bros, and four new challenge levels.
August 9 marks the arrival of Limbo (Cloud, Console, and PC), an award-winning indie adventure packed with immersive puzzles. Those looking for a sim/management game can look forward to Airborne Kingdom (Cloud, Console, and PC) starting on August 10. In Airborne Kingdom, players grow a unique town among the clouds and fly it across a wide-open landscape.
Finally, August 15 will add Everspace 2 (Cloud and Xbox Series X|S) to Xbox Game Pass. The single-player space shooter is already available on Game Pass PC, but all other subscribers can enjoy it in a couple weeks.
In terms of DLC and game updates, Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update XIV: Central Eastern Europe is now available. This update adds 103 points of interest, new landing challenges, and more over the Central Eastern Europe countries including Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can enjoy some perks starting today. PUBG Battlegrounds: 2023 Summer Pack is now available, along with the House Baerne Coupon Choice Pack for Neverwinter. Tomorrow, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate adds the August Member Bonus for Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis players.
