It seems the Sky Cipher Special Edition Xbox Wireless Controller was successful, as Xbox has announced a full Cipher Series for the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, along with a new Ghost Cipher Xbox Wireless Controller. As part of the Cipher Series, players can now customize their controllers at Xbox Design Lab with six transparent top case options: Ghost Cipher, Velocity Cipher, Astral Cipher, Surf Cipher, Candy Cipher, and Pulse Cipher. The Elite Series 2 also features two new chromatic D-pad and paddle designs: Sunset Chroma and Energy Chroma. Both feature metallic finishes that blend hues into a gradient, changing depending on the viewing angle. Energy Chroma blends Xbox’s signature green with blues, yellows, and magenta accents, while Sunset Chroma offers a warm, summery gradient from yellow to bright pink.
As for the other controller-related announcement today, the Xbox Wireless Controller Ghost Cipher Special Edition boasts grey and bronze accents with a clear top case, complemented by silver interior parts. Rubberized back grips and bronze metallic D-pad and triggers provide a striking contrast to the otherwise monochromatic design. The Ghost Cipher Special Edition is available for preorder today in select Xbox markets worldwide for $69.99 USD.
