The award-winning world touring concert, Video Games Live, has launched a Kickstarter to help crowdfund its third album. Those that have been fortunate enough to attend a Video Games Live concert knows the quality and excitement the staff brings to the event, and its previous two records are no exception. VGL hopes to have its third album recorded in a studio rather than a live recording, with a 60-72+ piece orchestra, and a choir with over 60 people along with a full rock band. The album track list will feature never before released VGL music arrangements from potential game franchises such as Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Zelda, Mario, Metal Gear Solid, Portal, Tetris, Red Dead Redemption, and more.
VGL is targeting a release date of February 18, 2014 for the album and it’s already well on its way of getting the $250,000 in funding on Kickstarter.
