Vampire Survivors has announced an unexpected collaboration with SaGa Emerald Beyond, and it is available starting today. The free update is titled Emerald Diorama and adds over 12 new playable characters from SaGa Emerald Beyond, including Ameya and Dive No. 5, a new stage, more than 16 weapons inspired by SaGa Emerald Beyond, and nine new music tracks. The collaboration comes just in time to celebrate the upcoming first anniversary of SaGa Emerald Beyond on April 25. Announced during today’s The Triple-i Initiative, which is a showcase dedicated to indie developers, this collaboration came to be because Luca from poncle is a huge fan of the SaGa franchise.

Along with the Emerald Diorama collaboration, Vampire Survivors also received a chicken-themed update called The Coop, which adds a new relic that speeds up the game, a new stage, character, weapon, and darkana, eight new achievements, and two new Adventures with six chapters each. One Adventure is “To End an Ice Age,” and it is available for the base game, while the other Adventure is for the Tides of the Foscari DLC. Cross-save has also been added on PC, Xbox, Android, and iOS, with Nintendo Switch to follow. Unfortunately, cross-save for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 ran into a legal issue, and currently, the chances of it are very slim, but not impossible.
