Ubisoft has announced Valiant Hearts: The Great War, a 2D platformer created by the studio behind Rayman Legends, Ubisoft Montpellier. The game is set to be released in 2014 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Valiant Hearts: The Great War tells the story of five individuals with crossed destinies during World War I. All five characters in the game wil “try to survive the horror of the trenches following their faithful canine companion,” Ubisoft described.
The game will be a blend of platforming and environmental puzzle solving and will use a picture-in-picture comic book presentation to tell the story. The game will be available as a digital download when it’s released.
