Titan Quest II made a surprise Early Access launch on August 1, 2025, during THQ Nordic’s digital showcase, and after roughly a year and a half of updates, developer Grimlore Games has confirmed version 1.0 will arrive on January 19, 2027. The full release covers PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC, priced at $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on consoles. Early Access has been limited to PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, which makes January 19 the console debut as well. On Steam, the game currently sells for $34.99, and Grimlore said at the start of Early Access that it planned to raise the price in stages ahead of the full release.
The road to this point has been a long one, considering Titan Quest II was first announced in August 2023 and later pushed its Early Access launch to summer 2025 to avoid a crowded ARPG window. Grimlore originally expected to spend about a year in Early Access, and the updates since then started with the Northern Beaches chapter in September 2025, followed by the Wild Lands and its rival centaur tribes in June, and a crafting system in August alongside this year’s THQ Nordic showcase. Like the original, character building revolves around masteries, with players combining two of them to form their own hybrid class.
For those who played the original Titan Quest back in 2006, its developer, Iron Lore Entertainment, shut down in February 2008, and part of that team went on to build Grim Dawn on Titan Quest’s foundation. That game wrapped up in July with its third and final expansion, Fangs of Asterkarn, which I reviewed with over 135 hours in Grim Dawn behind me. The sequel comes instead from Grimlore Games, the studio behind SpellForce 3, and THQ Nordic says hundreds of thousands of players have gone through Early Access so far. Titan Quest II currently holds a Very Positive rating on Steam, with 81 percent of 7,544 English user reviews recommending it at the time of writing, though the last 30 days sit at Mixed with 62 percent of 250 reviews.
THQ Nordic says more details will come in the weeks and months ahead, including a preorder with bonuses, along with what it’s teasing as “a mythical creature and a hidden treasure.” Support also won’t stop at 1.0, as the publisher confirmed Titan Quest II will continue to get new lands, features, and stories after the January launch. Those who don’t want to wait can pick up the Early Access version now on Steam for $34.99 or through the Epic Games Store.
