The Tomb Raider reboot is considered a huge success, as Crystal Dynamics has revealed that Tomb Raider sales are expected to eclipse the six-million mark by the end of the month. One year ago this week, the Tomb Raider reboot launched on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 before the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition was released earlier this year for the current-gen Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Tomb Raider sales last year had already achieved profitability, so now the title has exceeded profit expectations and the game is currently on course to become the best-selling game in the history of the franchise. Crystal Dynamics is currently developing the next game in the new Tomb Raider series and looks forward to building on its initial success.
